February 2019 –
In our 59th year, Sky Ranch Foundation℠ continues to support our nation’s at-risk youth. The Beverage Alcohol Industry’s contributions have helped the Foundation to award grants to organizations so focused, such as these two worthy organizations.
Mountain View, CA.-based Acknowledge Alliance (acknowledgealliane.org) serves K-12 schools in the San Francisco Bay Area, integrating resilience into all levels of learning by mentoring educators, counseling at-risk youth and teaching social emotional learning lessons for the whole classroom.
Established in 2006, Fostering Hope Foundation of Colorado Springs, CO (fosteringhopefoundation.org), acting as an extended family, supports some 40 foster families in the Pikes Peak region, as well as dozens of teens and young adults who are emancipating, or aging out, of the child welfare system
“Congratulations to both organizations for helping troubled youth and to the youth counselors who are setting good examples for America’s youth”, notes Foundation President Ralph Aguera.
“Empowerment and hope are key factors in helping to rehabilitate our nations’ at-risk youth and these two organizations are perfect examples of those committed toward reaching that goal.” furthers Foundation Chairman George McCarthy.
